I am in love with the revelation of a new life that photography once gave me. It was as if I had circled the planet in pursuit of an answer. I searched through the streets, but the answer was right there... right there without leaving home, hovering around me. In fact, it was inside me: happiness.

Simply realizing that my own life mattered most was the ultimate substrate of my art, and I needed to embrace it. That way, we can experience the world and view it in that unusual way—and even if that strange perspective is the meaning of my name, and however different it may seem, it is the best part of me, and what makes my art truly original.
